About the Author
Anthony Shieh (pronounced /Shyeh/) is a Taiwanese-Dutch Filipino novelist, and speaker based in Manila. He is the author of four books which includes his debut horror novel, Head by the Ceiling, released in 2025 by Anvil Publishing. Verge, a poetry collection; White Mocha Americano, which became an Amazon #1 Bestseller in LGBTQ+ Fiction; and Death of a Loved One in the Time of Pandemic, which was recognized as one of the Noteworthy Books of 2024. His works have been recognized by the Philippine Inquirer, CHiNOY TV, Tatler Asia, TheBeat.Asia, and The Manila Times.
He was a Fellow at the first Paradox Philippine Speculative Fiction Writing Fellowship at the University of the Philippines.
Anthony writes with a strong sense of inclusivity, ensuring that the characters in his stories are heard and understood. He champions the importance of representation, showing that everyone deserves a platform in literature to share their stories.
